  • Tasty Jams – “It’s Only Love” by The Maccabees

A cute fan-made stop motion video for the Maccabee’s song, “It’s Only Love”. The video is a bit emo but still enjoyable.

  • Stop Motion – Insert Coin

An amazing stop motion piece in tribute to 8-bit gaming using quarters on a black sheet. Apparently the way it was shot is being debated despite a small behind-the-scenes at the end of the video, but then again the animation quality is unbelievable.

  • Stop Motion – Subcarpati

A crazy stop-motion long exposure film using 57 stencils and 5300 pictures. Not too shabby. Subcarpati – Am crescut pe la Romana from z00x on Vimeo.

  • Stop Motion – Grindin’ by Nobody Beats the Drum

A very awesome and colorful stop motion video for an “eh” electronic song. See more funny videos and funny pictures at CollegeHumor.

  • Stop Motion – Dot

Boasting itself as the world’s smallest stop motion film, this adorable video was shot using a new lens and technology from Nokia.

  • Tasty Jams – “Her Morning Grace” by Oren Lavie

An amazingly adorable stop motion video featuring a woman whose dreams take on a life of their own. Thanks to Brit for the find.

  • Your WTF for the day – Dog Poo Flower

Someone claimed this is Korean with American dubs, and I wondered at one point whether the dubs were overlaid by someone to put it in a different context, but such is not the case. It follows the tails of a worthless dog poo and it’s discovery of it’s greater purpose in life. Quite moving.

  • Stop Motion – True Colors

Another artistic stop-motion video that doesn’t really go anywhere. This was created entirely by hand, and although it’s a bit long and the music is very 8-bit techno, it has a charm I find appealing.

  • Too Much Time – Walking Across America

I might as well make a category for stop motion. I really do enjoy well done stop motion videos and this is a refreshing change-up from most the things I’ve seen.

  • Out of a Forest

This is a wonderful stop-motion video done by a german guy shot in the woods in Denmark. I can only imagine how pain-staking slow it must have been creating this, but the effect is wonderful. It’s set to “Slow Slow” by the Nationals and based upon Victorian literature. Mind the disclaimer at the beginning.

  • Parkour Motion Reel

If you liked my last post involving stop motion drawings then you will love this. Using the same style only this time it’s parkour drawings. Enjoy! parkour motion reel from saggyarmpit on Vimeo.

  • Losing your head stop motion

This is a pretty neat one. I’ve seen lots of stop motions, but this one is neat in particular because rather than moving a single piece of art per picture, the guy drew all the animated bits on papers that he just unfolds. It adds it’s own level of story-telling and gives a closer insight…
