• Rubix Cube Art

It’s a-me! Mario! This is a piece of art done entirely out of Rubix cubes, and a gallery of others to boot here.

  • Your WTF for the Day – Number to Heaven?

Warning, this is creepy, yet hilarious… if you are into drowning orphan kids.

  • Role Models – iGun Rampage! (NSFW, language)

So for anyone who hasn’t caught this yet on the interwebs, the iPhone finally has a practical app that made me laugh pretty good. Also, good for anyone who has entirely too much road rage. You should be able to sympathize. Just watch out for Kevin. (Very NSFW. Lots of cursing.)

  • Because Internet Neutrality is important

(Edit: Their widget isn’t working in a post form. Please go to the site & check it out. It’s worth your time.)

A friend of mine named Alexa posted this and I found it highly informative & at the same time irritating. It’s a small snippet on the going-ons of the largest ISP providers and their attempts to lobby away the Internet Neutrality. What does this mean to you? It means keeping the internet free reign. It means keeping ISPs from providing better service to those who pay them more, rather than just providing the internet. It means smaller sites & ad-funded sites are going to run dramatically slower, since people don’t want to have to pay for what should be free. It’s frustrating to realize companies do this to begin with, much less feel almost powerless to stop it. People are too apathetic in today’s age to stop thing kind of fraud. Please take the time to click the Take Action, fill out the information, even if you don’t fill it out honestly, just so we can put a stop to this kind of junk.

  • Two sites worth wasting your life on

    Pimping some sites today. (more…)

  • Trashed Idea – Katzenklavier (Cat Piano)

So some of you may have already seen this from one of my other posts, but for those who are unfamiliar, allow me to introduce what people wanted to call a musical instrument in the 1700s.

The device is called a Katzenklavier, or translated as a Cat Piano. It was made by a man named Athanasius Kircher. If sources speak the truth, then a working version of this monstrosity was created. The device had cats loaded into these boxes, each lined up according to the vocal pitch of their meow. When the keys are pressed, a lever device does one of two things, either pulls the cats tail or pushes a nail like protrusion into the cat, causing the desired meow. The practical application of such a device is apparently supposed to help cure ADD… Sounds like that’s what caused this thing. And that’s my Trashed Idea for the week.

  • On comments

So I was recently using the WP-Spamfree plugin and in three weeks it managed to catch 101 “spam” comments. But not a single comment went through during that time. I became suspicious. While on week 3 I decided to log the comments and see what it was catching. Lo & behold it blocked 3 non-spam comments. So I’ve taken it down for now and am going back to the old school manual approval. So I apologize if your comments weren’t shared with the world.

  • Last Day Dream

So this is a film I found that was part of the “42 Second Dream” Film Festival that took place this year in Beijing, China. I think it’s a wonderful idea for a film, giving amateurs a real chance at exposure. This film in particular was done by a man named Chris Milk and explores the phenomenon of the “life flashing before your eyes” in a very emotional and human way. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

  • Amazing photography

A man named Clarke Little recently went to multiple beaches to try to photograph the art of a wave. Using a high quality camera, he took incredible shots of waves just before their crash. I know people have seen things like this before, but let this first image show you that this is unlike the rest. You can see the rest here.

  • Your WTF for the day – Japanese Bass!!

But once again, the internet never fails. Here is a Japanese man playing bass extremely well. The rest is eye candy.

Mmmm. I like that white outfit, but why don’t you try putting on a leotard. A black one. And feel yourself up a bit. Now lay on the bed. Thrust your hips in the air. Oh yeah. Boy, this workout has gotten my tired. Why don’t you slip into a maid’s outfit? While you’re at it, get some milk. Lots of milk. Now drink. DRINK I SAY! (I wish this was unrelated to the video…)

  • Role Models – Wilkinson's Family Restaurant!!!!

The missle strikes! Destroys a helicopter!

  • Let's talk religion just for a bit

So I’m a fairly open christian. I don’t believe the point of spirituality is to go out and tell someone else they are wrong. I believe it’s a uniting force and common ground that everyone should be able to share. I mean spirituality is in just about any activity. The spirit of the Lord, the spirit of the game, the spirit of the hunt, the spirit of us all. To have spirit isn’t exclusive to religion, and I don’t feel like these are separate contexts of use. I believe this same spirit has the same meaning in all of those situations. It’s the spirit. (more…)

  • Puppy love?

So my brother just got a new puppy. That brings our family up to 5 with my parents being the only ones without animals now. It seems curious that everyone in our family got an aggressive breed, (1 half pit bull, 3 full pit bulls and a boxer) and even more curious that we all got the opposite gender (the boys got girls and my sister has the only male dog). In celebration, I found a video of some doggy love, and it makes me giggle because Ginger behaves very similarly to my dog Boo (although Boo is much gentler than this dog appears to be). Enjoy.

  • Trashed Ideas – Dethclok baby brands

Just to give you an idea. Click the link for more ridiculous baby toys. Now this isn’t actually endorsed/created by Dethclok or anything like that, but I feel if they were to pursue baby products, this is what we would end up with.

And this marks the beginning of what I call weekly Trashed Ideas. Things that don’t need to exist but someone felt should. This will range from today’s products to patents to devices from old. One of the few projects I wanted to get started for the website. Here’s hoping for consistency.

  • A Biased Preview – Monster Squad (VHS)

This is a minor taste of the movie I witnessed the other night. A proper review and some great clips later.
